As a high school student, caffeine is definitely something I normally consume. And when I had my first frappuccino at 12 years old, I was hooked. Starbucks never fails to impress me with it’s seasonal flavors of wonderful drinks. During the spring it’s their mocha coconut frappes, summer time I have mocha cookie crumble frappes, during the fall it’s pumpkin lattes, and in the winter a peppermint mocha lattes. They have my favorite drinks every season and it makes me very, very happy.
Now please excuse me while I untangle my headphones.
I don’t know how I tangle cords so much. Any electronic device in my bedroom is a tangled mess. It’s probably because I trip over the cords multiple times, tangling them as I crash to the ground. How did we get on that subject? Oh yes. I’m a clutz. Now back to the frappuccinos.
Well I don’t know about you, but that looks really tasty. And how cute are those cups? Miniature frappes. My life was completed the day I made these drinks. I’ve rambled on about how much I love miniature food, and this just ties up the whole package.
I love starbucks drinks, I really do, but sometimes I don’t want to spend four dollars on one drink for myself. So making this recipe is the cheaper and also somewhat healthier version. It’s a win win situation. 🙂
For this recipe, you’ll have to freeze the ingredients overnight so your drinks are all icy and delicious. I mean, if you like melted frappuccinos then feel free to make these right now, but freezing them makes the drinks taste so amazing.
- 2 c. soy milk (you can use whatever milk you want)
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. instant coffee
- ¼ c. brewed coffee
- A pinch of salt
- 3 Tbs. sugar
- ½ c. pulverized sweetened coconut
- ¼ c. Hershey's double chocolate syrup
- Mix milk, vanilla extract, instant coffee, brewed coffee, salt, and sugar in a container and freeze overnight or until completely frozen.
- When your mixture is frozen, dump into a vita mix, food processor, or blender along with the coconut and chocolate syrup.
- Blend until smooth and pour into two glasses.
- Top with whipped cream, coconut, chocolate, or anything else you want.
- Congratulations. You have successfully made a homemade Starbuck's frappuccino.
Much Love,
Katherine Marie
