I made a fancy dessert.
A super simple, super yummy, fancy dessert.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever I see chocolate covered strawberries, I think of fancy occasions.
One of my close friends, Rachel, and I celebrated our 13th birthdays together a few years back. Our mothers rented a hotel suite and we ate candy and cake on the floor together.
It was lovely.
When we walked into our room there was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries on the counter with a bottle of sparkling juice.
I remember learning how much I disliked sparkling drinks that night. However, the strawberries were mucho delicioso.
Needless to say, we felt very fancy.
- 1 pint fresh strawberries
- 1 c. vegan chocolate
- 2 tsp. coconut oil
- Vegan cream cheese for drizzling (optional)
- Wash your strawberries and pat dry.
- Coat a thin layer of excess coconut oil on a baking sheet to prevent chocolate from sticking.
- In a glass bowl, melt your chocolate with the coconut oil.
- Dip your strawberries in the chocolate and set on the baking sheet.
- If you wish, drizzle some vegan cream cheese over the strawberries for a decorative (and tasty) addition. : )
