If you can’t tell, I am very excited about this smoothie. I’m a bit on the fence about smoothies though—-some are too thin, too vegetabley, too chunky (*shudders*), or too bland. I’m more into the thick, creamy, rich, chock full of yumminess kind of smoothies.
As of late I’ve started drinking protein shakes with this vegan protein powder. However, I had to change it up a little and throw some sugar, spice, and everything nice into the blender. My brother can drink his protein shakes with just milk and protein powder. . . but. . .
No.
I prefer a little more flavour in my smoothies/protein shakes. . . I guess this actually qualifies as a protein smoothie!
And not just a protein smoothie, but a chocolate protein smoothie!
- 1 c. almond milk
- 1 (heaping) Tbs. Nutribiotic Rice Protein
- 1 Tbs. cocoa powder
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 Tbsp. flax seed
- 1 Tbs. almond butter
- Toss all of your ingredients into a blender and crank that thing up!
- Really, though, that’s all you do. : )
