I lost my ice cream maker. I don’t know how, and I certainly don’t know when, but what I do know is that I’ve been left to fend for myself in the field of homemade ice cream.
Honestly, it’s not a huge deal. I’ve only ever used it once. But I mean, for those inexplicable moments where you just have to have your own soft, velvety, freshly churned frozen treat — it would be nice to know where my little machine is.
That’s how this chocolate ice cream came about. And it’s only two ingredients. Plus it takes a quarter of the time to make. If you have five minutes and a high powered blender, then you can make this delicious dessert pronto.
This ice cream is:
~creamy
~chocolatey
~rich
~simply satisfying
As of right now, I eat banana ice cream every single day. For breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses… it’s my absolute favourite food.
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 tsp. cocoa powder
- *A splash of almond milk
- In a high powered blender or food processor, blend together frozen bananas and cocoa powder.
- You'll need to stop and scrape down the sides a couple times, as it takes a little while for the ice cream to blend.
- Blend until the mixture turns creamy.
- Scoop and serve immediately.
- *if you're afraid of burning out your motor, add a splash of almond milk to help the bananas along.
Much Love,
Katherine Marie
