I’ve been baking these cookies for nearly eight years. They’re chewy, moist, and chock full of flavour.
This is one of those recipes where you can toss different ingredients into the mixture each time and still have delicious cookies.
Dark chocolate, white chocolate, pecans, walnuts — add them all or choose your favourite. Either way, these cookies turn out wondrously and have become a staple recipe in my kitchen.
Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter vegan or dairy
- ¾ cup cane sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar dark or light
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened, vegan or dairy
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cup white flour self rising or all purpose
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1½-2 cup chocolate chips vegan or dairy
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° degrees
- Cream together butter and sugars using an electric mixer. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add cream cheese and vanilla. Mix well.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt before gradually adding the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop heaping tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
