Warm, gooey, and full of chocolate-y goodness, these cookie bars will be gone in a blink. Perfect for any occasion, they combine a crunchy exterior with a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center. Whether enjoyed with a glass of cold milk or a hot cup of coffee, these treats are sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter melted
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar light or dark
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 chocolate bars your favourite!
- 1 (14) oz can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large stand mixer, combine the melted butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet until a dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips and set aside.
- Wet your fingers with water and scoop half the cookie dough into the baking dish.
- Chop your candy bars into fine bits and sprinkle over dough.
- Pour the condensed milk over the candy and dough – it will look messy.
- Using wet fingers, spread remained dough over the milk/candy layer.
- Your layers should be cookie dough, chocolate bars, sweetened condensed milk, cookie dough.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until top is golden brown.
- Cool completely before serving.
