Welcome. I’m Katherine.
I am a self proclaimed foodie, and cannot express the level of joy I find in the kitchen. Throughout my life, food has piqued my curiosity into the art of cooking. Well, that, and Remi.
Ever since I was small, cooking has been a part of my life. I’ve grown up in the kitchen baking with my mother until I was old enough to bake by myself. In fall of 2012, I discovered I was allergic to eggs, oats, and dairy. This halted my baking, but after a couple months of learning how to eat again, I created and converted recipes that were allergy-free.
That’s how this little blog here came about.
Through a new diet and renewed mindset, I learned how to live a better life without the strife my allergies threw at me. Fast forward to 2022, I am allergy free and able to eat every food group. This has been a wonderful blessing and created an entire new outlook on cooking.
I’m also a writer who loves taking snaps of whozits and whatzits galore. By combining the two with my passion for cooking, I am able to share these little inspirations with you along with my daily thoughts and life revelations. What I wish is for the content of my posts to inspire you to live life happily and discover your hidden talents both in life and in the kitchen. You might think you can’t cook even cereal, but as Chef Gusteau once said, “You must be imaginative, strong-hearted. You must try things that may not work, and you must not let anyone define your limits because of where you come from. Your only limit is your soul. What I say is true – anyone can cook… but only the fearless can be great.”
I’ve got a blank space on my blog with the option to fill it with thousands of words from my brain and snaps from my camera that you can see and read.
That seemed like an intimidating thought when I first started blogging, but now, I see this as an opportunity to let creativity flow from my fingertips into my blog. Sure, there are disaster recipes and stressful days, but with a light heart and cheerful grin, things work out.
I tell you all of this with the hope that you’ve found a little inspiration to try something new, and smile a little brighter as you do so.
It’s been very lovely to meet you, I must say, and I hope to see you soon.
Cheers!
Katherine Marie
